The 4th edition of the “Settimana Archivi Aperti” is organized by Rete Fotografia, it returns from 19 to 27 October 2018 and has as its theme: “The Photograph in Italy in the Sixties”.
The event will be opened by a conference (Milan, Palazzo Reale, Friday, October 19, 2018) with historians, critics and photographers, witnesses of that period.
From Saturday , October 20 until Saturday, October 27 special openings of archives and professional studies of photographers, involving guided tours dedicated to a not only specialized public.
The Photographic Archive of Fondazione La Triennale di Milano organizes guided tours where a brief general introduction of the photographic archive will be made, the description of the sorting method, the conservation of materials, the cataloging system, the database and the online publication of the materials.
Then a focus will be made on the three editions of the Triennale related to the decade of the 60s, (XII Triennale 1960, XIII Triennale 1964, XIV Triennale 1968 and occupation).

The visits lasting 1 hour will take place on:
Tuesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 25: from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm and from 4 pm to 5 pm
Wednesday, October 24: from 10.30 am to 11.30 am and from 12.00 am to 1.00 pm
Friday, October 26: from 10.30 am to 11.30 am
The visits will be allowed to a maximum of 8 people per group.
