Books in Triennale 2017/18 is a project by Massimo Mazzone, it consists in the “performative” presentation of different volumes, different but united in dealing with themes of the current cultural production.
Books in Triennale offers an overview of the themes of the international debate on contemporary art, the museum, architecture through the voice of some acute interpreters. The arts, politics and territory have been at the centre of the studies of Massimo Mazzone, artist and teacher in Brera for many years; these book presentations are also open lectures directed both to students in Milan and to visitors of the Triennale. In this context, Arch. Franco Bunçuga presents his new volume on Yona Friedman, the famous visionary and utopian architect.
The themes meet in their utopia, the cultural heritage of the great architect Yona Friedman on living and reconfiguring the spaces of cities. Yona Friedman (Budapest 1923) is a French architect, is one of the protagonists of modern architectural culture and since the 1950s has contributed to relaunching a morality of architecture that has range from megastructures to self-construction, working in the Americas in Europe, Israel, India and in many African countries.
