Louvre I, guided tour of the Louvre in the presence of the works. The whole department of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures is summoned by an invisible force and the mystery of the Mazarin Hermaphrodite is revealed.

A guided tour to discover the Venus de Milo, the Mona Lisa and all the other masterpieces in the Louvre’s collection without leaving Milan. This unusual experience is offered to the audience by Alex Cecchetti, through a three-stage project. The first two stages focus on ancient Greek, Etruscan and Roman art and on Italian paintings. The third stage, on Near Eastern Antiquities, will be presented in the Autumn of 2017.

Alex Cecchetti is a Paris-based Italian artist, poet and performer. His performances and works have been presented in Paris at the Centre Pompidou, at Jeu de Paume and at the Palais de Tokyo – which in 2016 dedicated a day to his work during the carte blancheevent – in Rome at MAXXI, National Museum of the 21st Century Arts, in London at the South London Gallery and at the Serpentine Galleries, and have appeared in major festivals, including Playground in Leuven and TBA in Portland. In 2012 the CAC Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius held a solo exhibition devoted to his art. In Autumn 2017 Cecchetti will present two exhibitions centred around his latest post-mortem project Tamam Shud at Warsaw’s CCA Ujazdowski and at the Ferme du Buisson in France.
