“The work of Compagnia Ariella Vidach is sophisticated and evocative.” La Repubblica
Young dancers and performers, under Ariella Vidach’s coordination, will perform improvised dances and site-specific interventions in Parco Sempione on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile. The search for a new relationship between body and nature, movement and urban space interacts with Milan’s everyday life and meets the gaze of passers-by who become unsuspecting spectators.

The boundaries among body, choreography and interactive systems shrinks and the interferences between dance and technology become increasingly suggestive, developing a multidisciplinary expressive language that creates synergies among dance, music, and visual arts. This is the core of the research conducted by Ariella Vidach and Claudio Prati, founders of the cultural association and contemporary dance company Ariella Vidach – AiEP, that represents a cultural and productive reality in the field of new technologies applied to performative arts since 1996. In more than twenty years of activity, AiEP’s artistic path has explored the use of interactive media in a climax of complexity. From the use of video screenings on the scene to almost invisible sensors worn by the dancers, motion capture and computer-graphics, the relationship among body, choreography and interactive systems has become thinner and the interferences between art and technology have become increasingly refined and suggestive.
