After twenty years, the Triennale International Exhibition makes a comeback. In addition to the Palazzo della Triennale, the historical site of the exhibition, the XXI edition involves important museums and institutions of Milan hosting more than 40 international participations for a widespread event.

The abandoned factories of the former industrial area of Ansaldo were transformed into workshops, studios and new creative spaces. The MUDEC - Museum of Cultures, opened in 2015, displays its permanent collection of about 7000 works coming from the civic ethnographic collections.

The Politecnico di Milano is a science and technology university that trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. The Leonardo Campus is its most ancient one. Villa Reale di Monza

The Villa Reale di Monza was built by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria between 1777 and 1780 as a summer residence for her son Ferdinand of Habsburg. Before the construction of Il Palazzo dell’Arte in Milan, the first editions of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts were held in the Villa.
