Molto Presto: practices and perspectives on new cultural centers
October 18 – 19, 2019
New cultural centers are places where the networks, communities and organizations born in response to the 2008 economical crisis meet. They enact collaborative cultural practices based on participation and activism, in cities and in the countryside, in the South and in the North, while building spaces for confrontation. They are makerspaces, experimental libraries, regenerated spaces, community hubs and artist residencies: they experiment languages and they enact various ways of doing activism. They are visited by hundreds of thousands of people, but they are still a partially unknown world, not thorougly researched and told. cheFare, agency for cultural transformation, invites activists, researchers, writers, artists, cultural operators and policy makers: two days of talks on new cultural centers and on their role in the cultural and civic framework in Italy.
