Patrizia Moroso: comics, design, art and butterflies

June 20 2019, 8.30pm
Organized by Design People Milan,
Patrizia Moroso is unique, a rare and unmistakable figure in the international panorama of design and artistic culture. In thirty years of art direction she has involved 44 international designers who with their projects gave life to an inimitable company.
Throughout the evening Patrizia Moroso with ten images and products chosen by her, will take us on a journey through art, comics and design history.
Agostino Moroso and Diana Mansutti founded the upholstery company, near Udine in 1952, which bears their family name. Patrizia joined the company in the mid-eighties, alongside her brother Roberto, and on the fertile Friulian DNA of good semi-artisan manufacture, grafting the seeds of international design and culture. Already in 1988 in London, in the mythical Chalk Farm, she began working with Ron Arad, then metal artist who signed for her his first collection of upholstered seats. Ten years later she discovers the young Patricia Urquiola, who worked at the renowned studi milanesi, and gave her the opportunity to design the first products with her name.
