ARCHIVIO magazine – The Unreal Issue

ARCHIVIO, published by Promemoria and curated by Nationhood, is the first magazine in the word entirely build around archival materials. A container of unknown documents, documental heritage, the hidden treasure that can be an incredible source of knowledge. The magazine was indeed born to re-build, the contemporary culture through these stories. The fourth issue explores the theme of "unreal". We live in an age of fake news, virtual reality, deepfake and other highly refined systems for manipulating images. What we know about reality could dissolve at any moment, and it’s also because of this that archives exist. In a dialogue that starts from fund "Imagined cities" of the XVII Triennale, the theme of the alteration of reality through the thirteen different archives involved in the issue will be told, in a conversation between Paola Nicolin, together with the editorial board: Achille Filipponi, Matteo Milaneschi, Alba Solaro and publisher Andrea Montorio.
