The relationships beyond images: Art, Architecture and Urban Regeneration
November 9 2019, 10.30am
How can the artwork interact with public space, while remaining an unusual and different element? How can the alliance between art and architecture change our perception of the territory? The aim of the conference day is to examine, through the analysis of historical and contemporary case studies, the function of site-specific sculptural intervention in the urban landscape both in the design phase and in the use and experience that the inhabitants make of it daily, also considering the possible cultural and social effects, and the economic impact on the territory. Speakers: Lorenza Baroncelli, Kasper König, Akiko Miki, Piero Gilardi, Alternazioni Video, Luca Vitone. Moderators: Katia Anguelova, Cecilia Guida and Roberto Pinto.
